Koboshi

For another sweet option, the tankan chocolate melon bread is made with tankan from Yakushima. One person who tried it described the citrus flavour coming through between the chocolate. For something savoury, there is curry pie rather than curry bread. One customer said the pie was crisp after being warmed slightly, and that the curry was mild enough to seem suitable for children. Others have singled out the fig and cream cheese bread as a favourite, or enjoyed a sandwich packed with vegetables, so there are options beyond sweet breads.

The breads are available for takeaway, and the bakery is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00. Customers have also noted that Instagram Stories can show the bread selection and stock, so it may be worth checking in advance if you have a particular item in mind.
